To be perfectly honest I hadn't heard much about BLW until it was mentioned here. I always assumed I'd start with typical purees and work our way up...
I've given DD oatmeal (sometime she'll eat it sometimes not), bananas (LOVES), avocado (only with banana), squash (no thanks), peas (yuck) sweet potato (Loves). But even foods she likes she's not consistant with and won't eat it every time. And I've tried different consistencies (I'd say stage 1 and 2) But when I gave her a little fish on two occasions (tiny chunks) she was all over it! I also gave her a little bit of a pickle and she was nuts about it.
It just seems like she's way more into foods we eat than the purees. And it seems like she'd rather eat it out of my hand and/or try to reach for it than eat with the spoon. So, I will ask my doc about it and read up on it some more but was just wondering if you, who have experience with BLW, would agree with me and say BLW might be a better option/approach in my DDs case?
TIA!
Re: I think DD is more of a BLW candidate...

What kind of chicken, and how did you cut it up?
IT was kind of like rotissery style. I just gave her tiny pieces of white meat. I would take a little, maybe 1/4" piece and just mash it up with my fingers a bit so it was very easy for her to eat it.
