I have been getting yeast infections throughout my pregnanct and wanted to know if you can still have a vaginal delivery with a yeast infection. I know its a dumb question but I am just wondering.
I have also had them through out my pregnancy so I asked my doctor the same question and she said the only thing likely to happen is that it will make it more uncomfortable for us when delivering but that it should not affect the baby!
I had one one and off my whole pregnancy and had a vaginal delivery with no problems. My DD did end up having thrush but it wasn't until she was 2 months old so I doubt it was due to that.
I too have been having yeast infections and asked my doctor about giving birth vaginally and she told me the only infection they would not allow for a vaginal birth would be if you currently had a herpes outbreak. Which apparently they pretreat in hopes of avoiding an outbreak.
Your baby will get thrush BUT if you tell you DR NOW, he will prescribe you a cream that is Safe and you use for 7days, BAM its gone I just had to do that and I feel much better.
Re: Yeast infections
I've never read anywhere that you can't.
Your baby might develop thrush when he's born though, but that's easily treated (and even if you don't have a YI your baby can still get thrush).
