Do you have a pregnancy pillow? I sleep really well if I have pillows between my knees and behind my back/slightly under my stomach. If I don't have pillows I sleep very poorly and wake up with an achy back.

I take a benedryl at night to help with allergies and to help me sleep. I pretty much stay on my left side or I wake up quick though. I also wake up in a second if my pillow vanishes!

Last night I did have some backache, but that isn't always the case. Left side sleeping doesn't work, tho it used to before I was pregnant! If I sleep on my left, my arms fall asleep.
I prefer my right, which is apparently not what I should be doing. But I always end up that way.
I even still try for tummy sleeping, its a weird, kinda side/kinda stomach sleep.
About a month ago, I finally got all my pillows right and slept good. I thought i'd figured this out (it only took 1 1/2 pregnancies!) but then the next day I couldn't get comfortable again.
Sleep used to be my best friend. Now I feel like I attempt it so much with no success I'm getting sick of even being in bed.
Sleep..what sleep? The Boppy body pillow helps. My baby is most active at night so there is not much I can do. I wake up with cramps in the middle of the night from her kicking me in one position. Find it helps to rotate through out the night.
I agree with PP about pillows. I hogged all the pillows from my SO and been sleeping well. Had to buy more pillows for SO to be comfortable also. I bought a regular body pillow and I love it.
Well, I don't sleep as well as I could, but that's mainly because my 2 year old REALLY likes to cuddle. As in, she can NEVER get close enough to me. We sleep on a king and I'm lucky if I get 2 feet of space. Other than that, I sleep ok. I turn from side to side constantly, though.
Im not .... I don't have a pregnancy pillow but I do sleep with a pillow between my knees I have another one that I kind of hug all night lol and I think I might try a 3rd one behind me tonight. Its a pain in the ass when I wake up every hour to pee though and no amount of unisom, benadryl or tylenol pm do any help at all they actually keep me up more !! Im going to try going to bed earlier tonight and maybe drinking some tea before hittin the hay
I have about one night every other week where I just don't sleep well. I woke up & laid there for a good hour before I got up to do something so I ate some cereal, drank some water, pet my dog, brushed my teeth and fell right back to sleep!
I've been having some sleep issues lately. I wake up all during the night and can't fall back asleep easily. Its like my dream ends or something and im just wide awake....annoying. Plus....i've been a very light sleeper lately and any little noise will wake me up. Doesn't help that its the middle of summer and we sleep with the windows open so I hear every little sounds outside as well. For example last night someone's alarm went off for what seemed like forever, then all the dogs in the neighborhood started either barking or howling. UGH! Every little cough that my son would make would wake me up as well. Maybe its my bodys way of getting me ready for when baby arrives. Also, I've been drinking a lot more fluids lately so getting up to go to the bathroom a few times a night doesn't help. And this lower back pain/sciatic pain is literally a pain in the ass.
Going to purchase a body pillow this weekend to see if that helps.
Terrible. I am a back sleeper, which is not the position to be sleeping in at this point and HATE sleeping on my left side. I have also had a knot in my back, right under my shoulder blade/by bra strap for months now that won't go away! I need more pillows!
Meeee!!!! Last night was the worst! I went to bed around 8:30 and woke up around 11:30PM. Tossed and turned, went to sleep for about 30 minutes and had a horrible dream, woke up tossed and turned again except now my headache came back. I looked at the clock and it's now 3:31AM. I ended up falling asleep at the foot of my bed! I don't know what it was but I was knocked out about 10 minutes after swapping positions.
I guess I'll suck it up and go get a body pillow this week... I'm just worried I'm going to have to give up cuddle time at night with my SO to cuddle with an oversized pillow... I guess I'll see him again in 5 months (lol).

Trust me - your SO will see how good you sleep with the body pillow and will try to take it from you while you sleep or get up for a potty break. Mine has stolen mine every night this week so today I'll prob stop by Target and get him his own

LOL!! Exatley
Mine made fun of me at first, but now he snuggles up to it..
not sleeping great and i have a snoogle, but i can't sleep with that all night because it hurts my ears (i know that sounds crazy) and on average i wake up 3 times a night and last night i think i slept for about 4 hours. i go to the doc soon im gonna ask her if there is something i can take when the backahce gets too much to help sleep- only 22 weeks so the last 18 is going to be rough.
I have to use a pillow, but it doesn't ease up my hip and pelvis pain. I'm also getting up every hour to pee, so anytime I can fall asleep, it's beyond interrupted.

Re: How are you sleeping?
In a bed... sorry had to... it's my nature.
I take a benedryl at night to help with allergies and to help me sleep. I pretty much stay on my left side or I wake up quick though. I also wake up in a second if my pillow vanishes!
MUCH better since I got a body pillow and cover from Target. Best $20 spent.
As far as back pain-have you tried an ice pack? That helped a lot when I had lower back pain not too long ago.
Now, as far as sleeping through the night, I am still making at least one potty break.
Horribly!
