When did you all get to hear baby's heartbeat?

My doctor's office called to confirm my appt today for Monday and I asked what would happen at that appt and she said history, pap, cultures and bloodwork. She said heartbeat is done at 2nd appt. I'm a bit bummed....would love some REAL confirmation given that my symtoms haven't been awful! When did everyone else get to hear the heartbeat?

Heard the heartbeat at our 1st u/s at 8w 2d, but apparently doctors vary on when they do the u/s, some don't until 2nd visit.

I saw it at 6w5d but have yet to actually hear it... that stinks that you won't get to. I totally know how you feel about not feeling pregnant. Even though I saw it I'm still having trouble grasping that baby is okay in there!

I just heard it for the first time at my first u/s appointment yesterday. It definitely made this feel more real. I haven't had horrible symptoms either.

I was told mine will be at my first appt on Thursday. I'm not so sure because when I recieved my nausea rx from my dr, it took a week of telling them the same thing and hearing "we don't have a record of you calling before but we'll have a nurse call you back" (no nurse ever called) and when I finally refused to hang up until I spoke with a nurse myself, she asked why I hadn't called earlier in the week and said my rx would be at the front desk for pickup in 10 minutes, 30 minutes later I'm being sent to 5 different depts because nobody knows where I really need to go to pick up this rx and after another 10 minutes of hunting I find the right place and they never pulled my chart or wrote a rx. If my dr wasn't so nice, I'd switch; I hate the office staff who in my experiences with them, have no idea what is going on.

We saw ours at 7w5d. It was a week after our first appointment, and since my cycles are so unpredictable they wanted an accurate date for the baby. Since our insurance doesn't cover an ultrasound anywhere but the hospital DH works, we had to do that seperately. It was awesome being able to see and hear it, but it's still a bit hard to grasp that there really is a baby in there!!

My doctor's office wait until about 12 weeks, and even then there is no ultrasound, only Doppler. Since I'm leaving the country on Friday, he is having me in early to see if they can find it so he feels more comfortable with my going away.

I'm waiting to get a call back from my doctor. I had my first appt. a week ago. I asked to have an early u/s since I miscarried last fall (otherwise I would have to wait until at least 12 weeks). I'm supposed to be going in for the u/s in a week or two.

I got to hear it at my 2nd visit (only 1 week 2 days after my first). It was to confirm the "age" of the baby since I wasn't sure the date of my last period. My 2nd appt was at 8 weeks, 5 days. The heartbeat was very cool to hear.

I heard it at my first appointment which was this past Friday.

Not sure how far along I am/was though...LMP says I was 10 weeks, I say I was closer to 9...midwife thought I might be further along then 10 when she checked me. I have our first u/s tomorrow to find out for sure.

I got to see and hear it at my 2nd appointment at 6w2d. I get to see it again next week. But I still see an RE since I had IF.

In the same boat as the OP. my dr doesn't do the heartbeat until the second appt, typically around 10, 11 wks. It really is terrible waiting, I know.....

I saw the baby at 5 weeks, but I heard the heartbeat at 9 weeks.

We heard our baby's heartbeat at our first ultrasound at 6 weeks 4 days. It was an emergency ultrasound though because I was having bad cramps so I had a transvaginal to make sure everything was okay. So we got a sneak peak at our baby and heartbeat:) Unfortunatly, it was a little low so we have another ultrasound tomorrow to make sure everythings right on track!

My doctor said it was way too early to hear it yesterday at 6w6d. I don't have my next appointment until 12 weeks, and I am pretty sure we will hear it then. At least I hope so!
