So proud of our son's other mommy

We found out the great news today that our son's other mommy has been selected to receive a scholarship to continue her education. Our agency selects birth mommies to be given scholarships and we are so proud of her. They mailed us a copy of her letter and it brought me to tears when I read it. She is so wonderful and very deserving of this. We plan on getting her a card to congratulate her, but I also wanted to maybe send her a little gift. Any ideas?

That is awesome! And I think it is so wonderful that you want to celebrate with her! Maybe you could get her a plaque with an inspirational saying. Or maybe a gift certificate to buy school supplies. Or even a Starbucks gift card so she could stay awake while studying.

That is so wonderful! I think the PP's idea of an inspirational plaque or figurine would be a good idea. Also, maybe something like one of those "Chicken Soup for the Soul" for college students books or something similarly uplifting? For my brother-in-law we made a college survival kit with Dunkin Donuts gift cards, highlighters, index cards, stamps, pens and pencils. That was a lot of fun too.
