My NB hates the Moby!

My little man (2 1/2 wks old) hates my Moby wrap, and I would really love to be able to wear him and get more things done around the house! I feel like his neck is kinked weird in it and he gets too hot. Anyone feel the same way? Any tips? I'm going to look at some other slings at a local store this week, but I'd still like to be able to use the Moby if I can figure out what our problem is. Thanks!

What position are you using? And do you have a picture? That might help us troubleshoot ;-) If you aren't already, I would suggest using the legs out tummy to tummy position (I believe moby calls it the hug hold). You can also do a front wrap cross carry with a moby which some people prefer.

I think that some kids just don't like to be wrapped.

DD2 didn't like the Moby either. I could keep her in it for maybe 10 minutes before she got fussy. I used it a handful of times and then gave it to my BFF. Her DS loved it, and she used it all the time.

We got an Ergo when DD2 was about 6 months, and she was happy in that, but she was also positioned high enough that she could see better too. She's also my child that LOVES her stroller. Any time she sees it, she asks to sit in it. It's funny how excited she gets about it.

I'm using the newborn hug hold. I think he's still too young to have legs out. I'll have to work on getting someone to take a picture of us using it, and I'll go look at your blog! Thanks!

Maybe try a different carrier? Some places allow you to do a carrier trial and take as many as 5 home to try out on your own time. You just have to find the one that works for you and LO!

I would try legs out as most people find it easier to get a good position that way. It's totally fine to do legs out from birth since the wrap will just scrunch to fit between his wee legs. And remember to pull it super tight to keep him well supported and to prevent slumping.

my DD hated the Moby when she was little, too. she was too much of a bobble head, and hates getting hot.
i really wanted to like the Moby, but it is SO HOT.
