Hey Guys!
I'm sure most of you don't remember me..I didn't post a whole lot..mostly just a lurker..
I was due April 10, 2012 with two twin girls Abbey Beth, and Zoey Ann, but they came March 11, 2012. I have been meaning to post my story, I just haven't had time.
We found out when I was 27 weeks that Twin "B" (Zoey) had a birth defect known as Esophageal Atresia. I was sent 4 hours away from home to be at a hospital with a level three nicu and a childrens hospital right across the street for the last month of my pregnancy. The girls are 5 months old now..and Zoey is still in the NICU. After their birth, reading posts about everyone else who had twins and the struggles they were going through were just so depressing. Some of you were complaining about sleepless nights, and other minor things...that someone in my shoes would kill to have been able to go through. (Not that I'm mad about the complaining, it was just a very emotional situation for me)
Anyways, I went into labor at 35 weeks and 4 days...and measured 72 weeks pregnant the day I gave birth. I started getting high blood pressure towards the end, and that is what ended up causing me to have the girls early.
Abbey was born first at 3:10 p.m. weight 5lbs 8oz and 19" long, and Zoey was born at 3:11 p.m. and was 4lbs 9oz and 18.75" long. My C-Section went great, and so did my recovery.
Hopefully Zoey will be coming home within the next few God knows that I am ready!!
I have a blog that I post to keep people updated on Zoey and Abbey, and what is going on at the hospital. I haven't posted since Surgery which was almost 3 weeks ago, but I'm working on it. It will come together once you're all home together and you get into a routine. MW2B....
