How tight to fasten?

DS is starting to fit into some of my OS pockets, but I can't quite get happy with how tight to fasten them. (Most of them have snaps.) I'm afraid to go too loose and have leaks, but then when I do them tighter, he gets elastic marks on his skin. Is there a good rule of thumb for getting the best fit?

    Tighten until there aren't any gaps around the legs/waist. A little redness is fine. DD gets redness from onesies! :)

    You don't want deep red welts.. you just kinda have to play around with it to find out what works.

    Some marks are ok. I read a blog once hat compared it to our socks. Often when you take them off you're left with an imprint - no big deal!
