TTC after 35

Feeling discouraged....

Well I thought I was the only problem with us not getting pregnant but we just found out that's not the case.

Gyno requested for DH to get an SA done last week since he is giving me the Clomid to try when my estrogen cycle is over. Of course DH insisted nothing could be wrong with his 34 yr old sperm! Well it's not good, they said he only had 13.9 mil. and bad progressive motility and high discosity(sp?) to clumpy/thick.

So we have been referred to an RE, he said we have two strikes against us now :(

They said they will probably retest him on our appt on the 29th. Is there a chance it can improve on it's own? I'm figuring they will suggest an IUI but who knows.

  • Hugs. That sucks. We were surprised too when when we found out it wasn't just my age. It does limit your options, but 14 million is still pretty good for an IUI. They ideally want >20 million motile sperm.
