I am getting closer and closer to my due date and i decided to have a second c-section. No sure why, but i am starting to get a bit nervous! If you had more than one c-section, how was your recovery? Were you more nervous the second time? I had a great experience with my first, but normal nerves are popping up. TIA

Basically this! Both my c-section recveries were very easy for me. GL!
My first one was an emergency after a long labor so my recovery was slow because I was so exhausted before surgery. So the second one seemed to be a piece of cake, comparatively. I was more nervous going in (with the first one I didn't have time to worry) but it was so nice knowing what to expect. And going in with a plan--having DH stay with baby, no one sees baby before I am out of recovery, I want to be up as soon as possible, etc.
Good luck, You'll do great!
Thank you...I am glad to hear that it was easier the second time around. I don't know if it is better knowing what to expect or not. My first time, i found out the day before he was breach and went into labor that night. So i had no time to do any research.
Thank you, i feel a bit more at ease!
I was less nervous the second and third times. My recoveries have all been the same.
I'm more nervous about the fact that I'm having kid#4 than the actual c-section.
I had my 2nd c-section in March of this year and I was so nervous as well! Nervous about the recovery as well as the epidural. My co-worker had 3 and she told me they get easier ... of course I didn't really believe her.
Well, let me tell ya, I recovered very quickly. The first time around, I took it really easy and still had a great recovery. This time, I was cautious but still pushed myself. I also got out more to help with post-partum depression/blues - that helped!!
You'll do great!

This for me, too. My 3rd c/s is on Thursday, and I am feeling the same way again.
The second time was much, much easier.
- Less painful
- I already knew what to expect
- My oldest child was 3 and independent, so I didn't have to worry about him
- The cut was smaller and she did a "mini-tuck" to make it look awesome
- Was up and walking in no time
