To have a 2nd or not to have a 2nd....

DH and I had a long conversation over the weekend about having another baby. We are both in our upper 30's and we have always said that we wanted 2 children. Well it took us 4 years to conceive Bay (we finally conceived 4 months after I had a pallup removed that was causing a blockage). Right after having Bay we both said that we were 1 and done. Well around Christmas time I started to get baby fever. I started to feel like now that I know how fast it goes and what to expect, I want 1 more. Well DH wasnt really on board but he never said "no". This weekend his sister brought up when were going to try for another. This started such a good conversation between him and I. He said that for the last few months he has started to feel the same way as I do, and he can not wait to get preggo again! He wants to start right away but I want to wait until November. I would like to spread the birthdays by a few months. So we comprimised. We will not start charting until November but until then we will no longer take any precautions. So if it happens it happens. I am so happy! I cant wait to join all you pregnant mommy's!!!

It really is tough. I can understand the how much thought really has to go into deciding on a 3rd. I told my hubby if we started much younger I probably would have wanted a baseball team. ;-) I think it is just hard to really accept that we are finished having children. Good luck to you guys. Im sure you will make the best decision for you and your family!

We are getting close to start trying for #2 also. DH is an only child, so he thought 1 would be great, but I think he is actually getting excited about another little one! My BCP runs out this week, then we will condom it until ready to start trying! Good luck! I hope it happens quickly(for both of us)!
