Anyone pre-making powder formula bottles?

We have been preparing each bottle at every feeding. However, this is growing tiresome and I was wondering if anyone prepares the days bottles at once and stores in fridge for the 24 hours? I know there are conflicting views on this and I just want to do whats best for the baby.

My baby drinks at room temp so I measure out all the water in the bottles for the day and measure the correct amount if formula powder into compartmentalized formula holders. When it's time to feed, we just dump and shake. Super quick and easy.

I usually have a few made up and ready to warm up. I don't make a whole days worth unless he is going to daycare.

I used to do this, but DD2 had horrible gas, so my pedi suggested making formula in advance. Now I make her bottles for the day in the morning, and warm them when she's ready to eat.

Most days of the week we have at least two bottles prepared to use in the fridge. My LO prefers her bottles cold and our formula says that it can be kept for 24 hours, so it makes it easier for us!

We do this...we make 24 hours worth of bottles(about 7 bottles total) ......I heat the bottles in the microwave for only 35 seconds so that the formula isn't cold. I have never had a problem doing it this way...hope this helps!

Before DS started daycare, I did this all the time. I would make a pitcher of formula (Dr. Brown has a great pitcher with a hand mixer) in the mornings and just pour into the bottles as needed. I've also made all the bottles in advance and stored them in the refrigerator. I think the key is probably whether or not your LO will drink formula cold. Fortunately for us, DS will drink formula cold and will drink it room temperature when we need to make a bottle when we're away from the house.

DD will drink it cold right out of the refridgerator, and her pedi says that absolutley fine if she likes it and it has made our lives SO much easier. What ever LO likes

We use the Dr Browns formula pitcher and love it. It was too much to make bottles for 2 babies every 2-3 hours in the beginning. We warm the bottles to room temperature. The pitcher definitely mixes the formula better with no bubbles.

We have pre-made since day 1. With twins, mixing on demand would be too much of a PITA, especially when alone.

Once a day we make 10-12 bottles at a time for a 24 hour period and store them in the fridge.

We also use the Dr. Browns mixing pitcher and premake her bottles. I love that I only have to wash and make bottles once a day!

I do. My LO is on Similac Advanced and I use the large-size mixing instructions- 1 cup of power to 23 oz of water. I make mine in one of the Blender Bottles that you use for protein shakes that holds 24 oz. I find that much easier than measuring scoops every time and it saves a lot of time considering I go through about 35 oz of formula a day.

We use the Dr. Brown Formula Mixing Pitcher and make bottles for the next day, the night before. We store in the fridge and drop into a mug of hot water when it's feeding time. Works well for us.

We make enough bottles for daycare in the morning and at least one for after daycare and store in the fridge. At night I make enough to get us through the night/morning and store them in the fridge. I can't imagine making bottles as I go. Plus my baby doesn't care if the bottles are cold or warm.

Second this recommendation! Love the pitcher, it makes making the bottles so much faster and less messy. We make LO's the night before, helps with the morning rush.

We do this with DD. The pitcher is great if she wants more, but not a full 2oz (the amount a scoop of our formula makes).

I often do this as well except I use a bottle warmer instead(warms in 90 seconds.) I've had it drilled in me to not us the microwave so I don't.
