So we always use the infant carseat when we use the stroller, just snap it on and go (like any travel system). Well the other day when picking A up from the IL's, I noticed the stroller was different, and MH asked why. "Oh so he could get some air while we walked." She had him in the stroller WITHOUT having him in the carseat! Andy is around 15lb, and I think that is entirely too small to put him in the main part of the stroller. We told her not to do that anymore and she said "Oh relax, he's fine." Am I being a nervous mama or is he too small to be in the stroller without using the infant seat?

I don't know about the travel system strollers but we got a stroller that had an age/weight range for newborn up. DD has been riding in it since she came home from the hospital.
I never got a travel system or infant carseat. We have a convertible in the car(s) and a small stroller for daily use. She also rides just fine in the BOB. DD is 13ish lbs.
Check the weight/age recs. But I am sure 15lbs is plenty big to ride in the main part.
Look! I put the diaper on the baby!
I've been wondering when I could do this w/ J but hadn't gotten around to finding out. I like having her where I can see her in the car seat, but she gets so sweaty in it.
eta: okay, I just looked at the website for my stroller (city mini), and it says not upright until at least 6 months and good head control, but reclined is fine as a newborn.
We've used the B-Agile without the carseat since 7 weeks or so. Ari loves taking naps in it when we go on walks.
Ari is just now 13 lbs and 24 inches.
