For those that formula fed, how much and how frequently did you feed your 2 month olds? Mine were doing 2 oz every 3hrs and then picked up to 3 oz every 2 hrs the last week and I sometimes find it hard to gage if they are crying because of hunger or something else.
Re: formula feeding
Every 2 hours? I couldn't survive that!
My 6 week old triplets (adjusted age 1 day, yesterday was their due date) just moved to 4 oz every 4 hours. We just moved to this a few days ago, but they seem to be doing well with it. We were doing 3 oz every 3 hours previously.
This. I remember at that age it was hard to tell if it was hunger or something else because prior to that age they only cried when they were hungry.
Ours have always been every 3 hours - BM or formula. Around 3 weeks, we started letting them sleep at night and not waking them to eat.
Right now, they are eating 6 bottles a day of 5oz each. Sometimes DD doesn't finish all 5 - she is a little smaller.
At 2 months I think we were at 4 oz a bottle, with 7 bottles a day.
