Hi Ladies. I was planning on joining a local MoM's group after my babies' arrival - that is until I found out that their member's only semi annual rummage sale is next month. I'm feeling superstitious about joining before my boys' arrival, not wanting to jinx anything (silly, I know). Did any of you or will any of you join such a group before your babies are born? Is it a strange thing to do? Thank you.
D & R were born at 37w5d.

Re: Joining a local MoM's Group
I'm joining one -- apparently plenty of women do in my area -- they're planning a get-together for all of those of us who are expecting sometime in Sept.
I do worry that it'll turn into this freak-out session of all of us feeling like we're not getting some absurd level of monitoring that the highest common denominator happens to be receiving today or something like that -- but I think in the long run it'll absolutely be a great decision to have started participating early.
I joined mine at about 25 weeks and I am glad I did. I probably wouldn't have done it if I didn't start early. (who has time once you have newborns?)
They have stroller walks, get-togethers, dinners, meetings with guest speakers, etc.
At first I felt weird but I love it after connecting with some members more my age.
P.s. yes- sometimes people give away free stuff! i got my double snap n go for free
