Alicia Rose has arrived! Birth story

I had heard that the second child comes quicker than the first, so I was a little worried on how the birth of my second daughter would go. Skip to the morning of Thursday Aug 2 I had been having contractions all night but nothing I could not handle. I gave in and went to the hospital around 7am and at 7:45 am I was admitted 21/2 cm dilation. The pain got stronger with each contraction (the worst back labor ever) and I soon requested an epidural. By 1pm I was at 10 waiting on the doctor to arrive so that I could push. Alicia Rose was born at 1:59pm healthy and beautiful. I knew it would be quick but I did not realize that quick=more pain, this birth was more painful than the first but worth every minute of it. Funny thing, her weigh was the exact same as my first child. Good Luck to all the Aug moms yet to meet their little ones.
