I ordered a gift from the site about three weeks ago. It quoted a 12 to 16 day shipping. I needed it by next week, so i figured 16 days to get it will give me plenty of time. I keep checking the status and it says that zulily hasn't even received it yet so I emailed customer service to ask when i might be receiving it. I also asked that when they receive it, could I PAY to have it overnighted to me to ensure I receive it in time. They said that the 12 to 16 days is actually the time it takes for them to receive it which they haven't yet and then another 5 to get it to me and they said no that they couldn't overnight it to me. Errrr.... Very frusterated right now!
Needless to say, I will never be ordering from zulily again!

It does totally suck under the circumstances and they should have been more clear about when you might receive it, but it does give some insight into their business model. instead of ordering a lot, selling some at retail and liquidating the best they order only what is bought and paid for. Since there is nothing to liquidate the prices can be low and everybody wins.
It's pretty genuis--I wasn't exactly sure about what Zulilly was doing but now that I understand they don't even have this merchandise in hand I'm impressed. I won't use it for gifts though! Or for stuff I need to start wearing now...

This. Although I am pissed off at Zulily this week. I ordered a cutting board, platter, and jug with cups (Texas Longhorns). My card got compromised, and I forgot about it. They couldn't charge my card so they just cancelled the order! They said they sent an email, but they didn't, and now I don't get my items. So upset!
Thought so! I caved and got one of those flower baths (my splurge/cutesy item) for my baby from there and it came within three weeks. I definitely don't expect speedy shipping.
