So I had my follie check at 9am this morning. Of course, two of their u/s machines were down, so I didn't get in until 9:45. Also, I saw no less than three toddlers in the waiting room while I was there... two of the moms even had their girls meet each other and sort of play. Really? Could you *not* bring your baby to the fertility clinic?
ANYway. Last month, I wasn't ready to go on CD12. I knew in the back of my head it was possible this month would be different, but I was still expecting to have to come in again on CD14 for another u/s. Nope! CD12, and I have a nice 19.[something] follie on the left side (same side!).
Unfortunately, MH was expecting the same schedule again, too. And he decided to watch porn last night while I was at work. >.< Generally I don't care about porn, but not during the FW! Come on! I mean, if we'd had sex last night, that'd be one thing....
As for the Prog. question:
Since I always spot before AF, I've asked for progesterone. From what I've heard, Crinone is better/fewer side-effects than the suppositories (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). When I initially mentioned progesterone at the beginning of this cycle, I asked if there were any other options, and the MA said there's the IM inject option, but they usually only do that with IVF. She made no mention of the Crinone.
Is it worth asking for the Crinone instead? If so, what should I say? (I'm hoping for a more medically sound reason than "my internet friends told me so!" ![]()
TIA!

Re: IUI #2 Tomorrow! Progesterone Question
I don't have any real advice, but I will suggest you bring it the new med. You can say something like "Oh, I heard of this medicine, Crinone..." and go from there. As a patient, you have more rights to your meds than you might realize, so I don't think your RE will think it's odd or rude or anything for you to ask questions.
And GL tomorrow!!!
Good Luck with your IUI tomorrow!! I hope that everything goes perfectly!
As for progesterone, with my IUIs, in the past I have and I will take on our next cycle prometrium pills. And my progesterone has been very high with our pregnancies. I have never used Crinone but we did use Progesterone in Oil IM Injections with our IVF & FET. I think the suggestion from the pp about being something you heard about is a good idea -- or can you say a friend who recently went through IUI as well suggested it to you? I think we always have to watch out for ourselves and we know our bodies best so it is definitely worth asking about!
Wishing you the best.

Seriously, WTF with kids in the RE's office? My welcome packet to our new RE came with an insert describing their "children in the office" policy...basically, don't do it. I was so glad to see that!
I've never heard of Crinone, so no thoughts there. But I wanted to ask if your office will do a 7dpiui progesterone check?
Good luck today!!
