I would appreciate any and all suggestions!! I will be getting a C-section, if that makes a difference. They both seem great, making it all the more difficult to decide. Thanks in advance.
We decided to go with Columbia Presbyterian because they have a Level IV NICU and the specialists there are world class in every category. While I know the chances of needing that type of care are small, I could never forgive myself if my baby needed it. That being said, the rooms are small at NYP and I'm betting Lenox Hill has more luxurious birthing and post-partum rooms. And the physicians out of LH are great as well- either way, I don't think you can go wrong.
The rooms are quite small at NYP-Columbia. Private rooms are cheaper than Lenox Hill (it's $300 a night) but they're not guaranteed; I wasn't able to get one for my stay. That's probably true at Lenox Hill, too, but they might have more private rooms to go around. Look into it!
