I sort of deserved it. Or at least understand.
I just started running again this week after having terrible, terrible ms. I was running w a group of female friends and I had taken my shirt off because it was soo hot! I was the only one shirtless (in full coverage sports bra) and my belly is pretty big.
So we are waiting for this light to change and there are 2 boys in a car sitting laughing and looking our way. Light changes, they still don't go, keep laughing. I say, "why were those boys laughing? That was so weird."
We keep running. A minute later a light bulb goes off over my head and I say, "wait, we're they laughing at me?" My friend grimaces and says, "Um, yes. Sorry."
Doh! I guess that's what I get. ;(
I keep randomly laughing about it. I guess I just never thought about how ridiculous I look.
Re: High School kids laughing at me.
poor thing! Kids can not only be mean to other kids in school , but they can be mean to others as well. Its kind of like when you have a bunch of guys and they have more courage to say things to you in a group vs by them selves. I'm sorry you had to deal with immature brats. One day they will grow up, get married and have kids and hopefully feel stupid for what they did to you!
Good job running. I barley have the energy to walk up my stairs to the bedroom at night LOL
Well a pregnant lady running with her shirt off isn't something you see every day. I might laugh, too :-0. Seriously though, yay to you for not giving a shiiit
Thanks. It's more funny than anything really. It's more embarrassing I was the only one who didn't realize why they were laughing! I'm not a modest person to begin with!
My Blog - 86'n It
I'm sorry this happened to you!
I had an incident about 5 years ago where this car with 3 teenage boys was being obnoxious. They were writing things on a large dry erase board and sticking it out the sunroof at different cars - just rude and hurtful things, they obviously didn't know anyone. They just get 'brave' when they are around one another - I think they have something to prove or that is excuses their behavior.
Don't be embarassed, I'm not sure where you're from but it is a hot summer! For me, extreme temps make me feel sick so I probably would've done the same thing if I was hot.
Good for you getting out there are running - don 't let those kids get you down!
