My little guy is in the 97% for weight and 80% for height. The pedi told me to cut back his feedings! How do you tell a baby, sorry you can't eat right now, so scream. Anyway... I like my fat baby. He looks like the Staypuft Marshmallow Man.

Interesting. My pedi told me to trust the baby to only eat what she needs. Then again, she was only in the 55th %ile!

I've been researching, and it's common for EBF babies to pack on pounds early and slim down later. So, I'm going to continue to EBF as long as I can. If he doesn't start slimming down when he's mobile, I'll cut back feedings.

Really?! I'd get a second opinion. Boys eat so much more than girls at certain stages, and then have a huge growth spurt. He might be getting ready for one. I hope you have lots of clothes in big sizes! Smile

At months, this seems like ridiculous advice from the peds. Baby is hungry, baby needs to eat. Huh....

I would have big issues with a pedi who told me to cut back on my baby's feedings. I get it when you have an older child on food but a nursing or bottle feed baby - no way. Babies can self regulate way better than adults.

thats silly. feed the boy all he wants. boob juice is good for them. we all come in different sizes and shapes. Evelyn is in like the 4 percentile for weight. she is tiny!
