My sweetness practices Tai-Bo ALL FREAKING DAY lol!!!! I'm 21 weeks and I feel flutters when I'm sitting still and bonafide kick after I eat sweets. The other day at work I ate a cupcake and some m&m's and this child kicked me for an hour straight. My moma said wait until the third trimester bc thats when the real fun starts ;-)
I felt a ::tap tap tap:: at 17w exactly, & it has gotten progressively stronger. My first "real" kick was at 17w3d. He's been moving my belly on the outside since 20w.
At varying times, it's felt like tapping, muscle twitches, & that roller-coaster feeling. Now, it's undeniably kicks/punches/head butts, & I can often tell the difference based on strength & location.
I knew it was a real kick when I had my husband put his hand on my belly and he could feel it too - otherwise it was really hard to tell if it was indigestion, etc... now that I've gotten used to it (at 22 wks) I can tell the difference.
Felt the first movement just before 15 weeks, then nothing until about 17 weeks. Able to feel him move every day at around 20 weeks. 22 weeks is about when DH was able to reliably feel him move. Today, he gave me a good hard thump (he's been a little nutty today.) Been able to see him move once when laying very still.
I first felt movement around 17 weeks as well. I didn't feel the first "kick" until 22 weeks. You will definitely be able to tell the difference between the flutters and the kicks. The kicks are much more stronger! You have some time... enjoy those flutters now... because then it's mostly kicks and punches! :-)
I felt the first movement around end of 17 weeks beginning of 18 weeks and than the first real kicks at 19 weeks but only when he gets real wound up! I learned at my 20 wk ultrasound that a lot of his movement I can't feel only the real hard stuff! Usually after a good meal he gets going.
