I'm glad I don't have an out of home job because I'd be in trouble.
I'm totally running out of clothes that fit me. I have 3 pairs of shorts and they are all getting uncomfortably tight. One pair is unusable already. Of all my tops, several are already too short and several more are inexplicably stained with stubborn stains that won't come out. Since when did pregnancy have to equal epically stained shirts??
I'm due in 4 weeks and I'm a STM so I may not even be pregnant that long. I just can't justify buying new clothes at this rate.
I have this one hella comfy dress that is too big so I just wear it around the house (it was given to me used). I joked earlier in pregnancy that I would be wearing nothing but that for the month of August, but as time goes by I wonder if that is going to be come true!
Anyone else having the same problem already? I don't remember this being an issue with DS.
Re: Running out of maternity clothes!
I do! With DD1 I was due in the winter so most of my old clothes weren't the right season this time around, but a few I thought might still work. Not wanting to spend a ton of money I just bought 2 pairs of shorts and a few tank tops fm Old Navy.
Now, because it's been so flippin' hot all I do is wear those tank tops. We moved 2 weeks ago and I lost a pair of shorts somehow in the move. So now my wardrobe consists of 4 tanks, a pair of shorts, and a pair of workout shorts that somehow still fits. Pretty sure DH is tired of seeing me in the same look day after day.
I ran into that problem at the end of my pg with DS.
So this time in the beginning I bought 4 maxi dresses from ON. I've been wearing them on and off enough to justify the purchase but they're now the only things appropriate to wear out of the house.
My shorts fit except the waist band is so tight and the baby is so low that I actually get contractions from wearing them.

About half of my maternity shirts have weird stains on the belly that won't go away.
One of them has a bleach spot from where I cleaned the bathroom while wearing it (I was too lazy to change shirts beforehand). Whenever I do wear one of the other two shirts that still fit/no stains visible, I sweat like a bear and after an hour they feel disgusting under the armpits. When I wear my maternity tanks, my arms are so fat that I feel uncomfortable!
Oh yeah! I forgot about underwear!! I have several different styles of maternity undies. Most roll down and feel terrible (yay scar). The one brand that doesn't do that has somehow decided I'm not fit to stay on. They are okay-ish while wearing shorts, but if I try to walk around in just a shirt and undies at home, they FALL OFF MY FAT @SS. Seriously, they just fall off. How does any of that make sense?
I'm about to go to my ICAN c-section support group and it is held at a place with discount maternity clothes. I'm hoping to at least find a pair of cheap shorts that fit there.
My wardrobe since April has consisted of 2 loose non-maternity dresses, about 5 maternity dresses, 3 pairs of shorts, and about 6 shirts.
The two non-maternity dresses are officially out of rotation due to looking indecent now that I'm bigger. My favorite dress I managed to bleach by accident, so that's out unless I'm not leaving the house. Two shorts are too short now, despite being "one-size through pregnancy."
So yeah, I think I have 8 outfits. I feel like I wear the same things all the time, but I guess I really do.
I have 2 pair of jeans that I only wore until Juneish because my legs were on fire in them, so then I purchased 2 pair of maternity gauchos from ON and I've lived in them all summer. The 2 tops I bought from Destination Maternity are just about worn out too.
Last week I went on a "shopping spree" on ON online and got all my hospital stuff; 2 nursing tanks, 2 regular tanks, my Shower dress, another pair of gauchos, a pair of shower sandals, slippers and a pair of yoga pants. I'm a thick girl anyways, so this will all be stuff i will wear after delivery. plus all my comfy clothes are not fit for wearing outside the house. DH said to me last night that my night pants need to be retired soon...they are super holey.
Now I just need black underwear and a nursing bra or 2 and I'll be set.
I'd done really well for a while and had plenty of pants/capris/shorts, but the past few weeks or so it seems I've grown out of a lot of these clothes. It's really hard for work, because I have to dress at least semi-professionally (no jeans, except on Friday), but now I have 2 pair of "dress" capris, and 2 or 3 dresses that I can choose from. And the capris are starting to get really tight.
I did buy more shirts from ON about a month ago, because I expect that I will have to go almost until October. Otherwise, co-workers will have to get over that I wear the same outfit every other day (they really don't care anwyay). Not to mention that I have one pair of black sandals and one pair of silver sandals that still fit.
My only fear is that the weather in September here is unpredictable. By the end of the month it can still be 80 degrees, or it can be 40 degrees. I haven't worn any of my maternity pants in months, and I'm fairly certain they won't fit at all, so if it gets cold, I'm not sure what I'll do. I have plenty of sweatpants/yoga pants to wear once I'm on leave but work won't appreciate those so much until then...
Basically all of my shirts do not cover my belly and none of my bottoms fit or are completely uncomfortable.
I caved a couple weeks ago and went to Target and bought a couple pairs of non-maternity leggings and tank tops. I figured I would be wearing them post-baby as well plus after coupons I only spent around 12 dollars.
I just had to go buy new shorts! I had to buy the next size up.
BOOO!
If you could get away with it, I wouldn't buy any clothes. I *might* go and buy a pair of shorts or 2. Do you think you'll have another baby? Because then it might be worth it to buy more clothes.
BTW...are you from the San Francisco Bay Area? I don't know a lot of people in WI who say "hella."
I had this same problem so I went to Goodwill and bought 2 non maternity skirts (they were the kind that are stretch cotton and fold over at the waist like yoga pants) Then I bought 2 nursing tanks because I figure Ill use them after.
I also hit the clearance rack at Marshalls and fouwn two cute Non Maternity tunics that fit like shirts but I can wear next summer with leggings as a tunic.
I literally felt like a new woman this weekend as all of my maternity stuff was feeling tight and uncomfortable. The only thing that continues to fit are my leggings and my maxi dresses.
