An emotional wreck...thanks hormones!

I'm assuming it's the hormones that are making me so emotional lately.  Little things that I watch on tv (like olympic gymnasts crying or a baby story on TLC), a line I read in a book about giving parents a hard time (I gave my parents a terrible time in my teens) and now having to cancel a trip to the islands and I am like crying my eyes out.

Ok, so I'm emotional usually, but I can't stop the flood of tears!  Then I have to stop myself and try to calm myself down so I don't get stressed.  Anyone else having similar emotional instability :) ?

    Dude... FFFC? I cry every single time at A Baby Story even when I'm NOT pregnant. 

    However, I recently watched the entire Dawson's Creek series from start to finish, and I was so inconsolable at the final episode that it was seriously worrisome.

    These days, even thinking of tragic events have me bawling. I looked at FI one day and just burst out into tears and told him that I didn't want him to die in a fire. (He's an EMT Firefighter) And I was crying. I couldn't stop.

    I usually just lurk but after reading this I had to share my story. I haven't been overly emotional but last night was bad! I wanted to eat my whole sandwich but couldn't finish it. So I started crying cuz I was mad I couldn't finish and then I started crying harder cuz it was stupid that I was crying. The best part was my husband just starts laughing cuz he thought I was joking!

    I can't watch TLC, especially A Baby Story, or HGTV (not sure why) without bawling. There was one episode of A Baby Story where the mom lost her baby at 35 weeks because it twisted it's umbilical cord and they went for a normal appointment that day and there was no heartbeat. I think I cried so much I got a headache during that episode.

    Oh F that. I couldn't deal.

    Do you watch Private Practice? The season finale, I wasn't pregnant for, but I literally cried so hard that my head was pounding and I was dry heaving from the rush of emotions. 

    ETA: It was about a very real condition, Anencephaly, where the fetus doesn't have a brain. Like, at all. But all of the other organs are developed as if nothing is wrong.

    This is terrible bc I'm sure you were so upset! But OMG I laughed out loud at this! I can totally see myself doing this. DH will call it my "Liz Lemon Meltdown" ;)

    I can relate. I just balled my eyes out over something on the news. I hate hormones.
    BFP #1 (7/13/12) MC (8/14) 9 weeks. D & C 8/17.
    BFP #2 (5/18/13) due 1/26/14. Grow baby grow!

    I'm now re-watching the DVRd episode of Private Practice I was talking about.

    I'm clearly a glutton for punishment.

     Yes I have seen it!  I watch Grey's and Private Practice religiously and both make me cry all the time.  I'm just trying to be stress free during this first trimester and can't stop the tears!  Haha, but I am so glad that you all are feeling it also.  Thanks ladies!

    Ummmm YES! My temper is scaring me.  And I too had to cancel a trip to the Caribbean so you're not alone.

    I literally laughed AND cried at the exact same time earlier in the week.  My husband says I'm like living with a teenage girl (not that he'd know - only child).  Also, my temper is insane -- rage-blackouts all the time ;-)  But yes, mostly really teary.

    I was so so emo 3-6 weeks especially. I cried at ads on TV, movie trailers, etc. My DH and I turned it into a thing we acknowledged together and would call it out and laugh at it, as if it's not me but this hormone monster in me. It helped us a lot to remind me this is not normal me.
