I will not complain about not having them on regular naps now b/c they are sleeping great at night!! But, I will be going back to work when they are 6.5 months old and I'd love to have a regular nap schedule established.
Right now, it seems like my son likes to eat in the morning and then take a long morning nap and my daughter prefers her long nap in the afternoon. They sleep great in their cribs at night, but if I put them in their crib during the day...they wake up in ~10 minutes! I am not sure how to get them on a set nap schedule?
Any suggestions?

Re: when did you get a normal nap schedule?
Boy/girl twins born at 37w1d and 37w2d
My girls only started being consistent, good nappers around 5, 5.5 months.
We followed the EASY (eat, activity, sleep, yourself) routine from the start. For quite awhile, they would both wake after one sleep cycle (about 45 minutes), but I think we're finally past that!
I'm working on this right now too. We are following the EASY method too, which works for the most part. But my boys are notorious for hitting that 45 minutes in their sleep cycle and waking up screaming. I've been trying to let them fuss until they fall back asleep for a while longer. Sometimes it works, sometimes I have to intervene...
I am trying to keep them on identical schedules as much as possible. If one wakes up hungry, I wake the other to eat. If one is starting to get sleepy, I either stall him or I put them both down and hope the other will settle soon.
At 3 months my girls were still taking 4 naps a day, and they were all about 45 min, if that. I followed EASY and just kept working on self-soothing by letting them go a few minutes on their own before intervening, and on longer naps by trying to get them back to sleep if they woke up super early (which happened quite a lot). At 6 months we are finally in a fairly consistent routine with longer naps. One of them naturally would take a longer nap in the morning and the other in the afternoon, but The morning sleeper is a better sleeper in general so I wake her up after an hour in the morning (the other usually sleeps 30 min at that one) and they both sleep about 2 hours in the afternoon. It has been a long time coming but it's wonderful! Just keep them as close together as you can without completely messing them up- I tried to let them sleep at least 45 minutes at a nap even if the other one woke up way before that. Other than that I kept them within 15 minutes of each other, and always fed and put them down at the same time. It will happen- just give it more time!
