A friend who has recently moved out to LA is in town this weekend for the wedding of another friend. I am friends with the bride, but not enough that I have talked to her recently or to be invited to the wedding.

Anyway, I had lunch with the friend from LA today and I learned something that was like a punch in the gut... I knew that the bride and groom haven't been together long, but everyone knew they would get married from the first few weeks because they were just one of those couples that were immediately attached at the hip. What I did not know, however, is that part of their rush to get married is that she is six months PG. Apparently she is huge already and they got PG as an oops in their first month living together.

Add to that, when they met for the VERY FIRST TIME, DH and I were already into several failed IUIs and looking for new options.

Obviously, I couldn't say anything at the time, so I just had to vent here. It breaks my heart how easy it is for some people and how they just throw around that "oops" thing, especially when they know what DH and I have been through. Ugh.

No real point to this post, it just sucks...

    Its super unfair and it does really suck.

    I know several "opps" and even though their opps doesn't = my IF, I still want to punch them.  Some days I want to punch people that get pregnant on their 1st or 2nd try.

    Yup, things like that kill me. I know logically that someone else having a baby has nothing to do with me but you can't help but wonder why we got the short straw.

    How are you holding up for beta? Will you test before?

    Watching milestones of others on fast forward when you feel like you are stuck in quicksand is so disheartening. Damn it is unfair. I am sorry that this day stunk. Hugs.

    IVF 1- March 2012 Antagonist Protocol; BCP until March 3; AFC this cycle is 10 (Hooray); Start stims on March 9; ER on March 19- 2R; 2T (1 perfect 8 cell, 1 scrappy 3 cell); tubal infection from ER-hospitalized. Doomed! BFN

    Essure Procedure to treat bilateral hydrosalpinx; June 2012, wait 3 months for confirmation test.

    IVF2 (Egg Banking)-letrozole/antagonist cycle; June/July 2012 225iu merional + cetrotide; slow responder, Ovulated before ER. Unbelievable. Canceled remaining cycles with my eggs

    DE IVF in Brno, Czech. Approx. ET on Oct 6 CANCELLED-Essure didn't close both tubes-test again in 3 months

    I am AMA and all tests on H came back normal
    3 failed IVF with OE and 2 failed frozen DE cycles
    Last fresh hail mary DE cycle starting Feb 2013

    I feel your pain. Just had a similar like slap across the face. Although this friend of mine didn't have an oops...she did find out today that she is pregnant for the second time and it happened like a drop of a hat. She was expressing her excitement for how everything just fell into place exactly as she wanted...meanwhile I felt myself slowly stepping away. Physically and emotionally. Yep, another friendship I just have to creep away from. Just as I thought I was doing so well with the her four year year old. Now, one LO and another on the way is just too Mich to bare. Hugs. IF is straight heartache.

    I actually tested yesterday (I didn't post about it) and it was BFN. I am hoping that it was just too early, but I can't help but feel a little defeated. I will test again tomorrow and Sunday, then beta is Monday.

    Ughh.  That's irritating and unfair.  Sorry sweets.  I've felt this particular variety of IF pain, like so many others here, and it just plain stinks.  Hugs.

    It does suck.  I wish we could all "oops" so easily.  Those people will never understand what it's like to ache the way we ache and have our hearts broken over this time and again.  I'm not saying I wish IF on anyone, but I do wish a few more of us were lucky enough to wind up on the "oops" side of things.
