Hi guys! My name is Anne and I'm 34 years old. I have adopted three girls, Savannah, Emmie, and Sapphire. My husband and I are currently expecting, but we are also planning to adopt another! So excitedd to join this board!

    We had never actually tried for our own children when we got married, we both just wanted to give kids a good life. I was adopted, and I had always known, and I found my birth parents, so it seemed like a good route. We found Emmie in Valencia when she was eight months old. Her mom was seventeen and she didn't want to care for her. DH and I had lived in Spain for about three years. We applied with the government, and they told us that we had to stay in Spain throughout the adoption process, and we decided to stay for a while longer. The paperwork was excruciating, and she was 19 months old when they finally accepted us, and 21 months when we finally got her. Her full name is Emiliana Maria. Savannah is from Ethiopia and her adoption took a longer time than Emmie's.
