Potential Final names - thoughts?

I think we've almost decided to name the babies.

 Miles Andrew C

 and

Max Aquinas C

They're the same initials, but I kind of went with the dog naming idea where the strong vowels are different so that they aren't hearing the wrong names - does that make sense?

The girls are Lucy, Molly and Claire.

  • Love Max!  Miles is NMS, but I do know a brother set of Miles, Max and Mason.  I think they go well together and flow well with your girls' names.  Congrats on the twins, and boys at that! :)

  • I think they're great!  Aquinas is a suprise, but it works well for a middle name.
  • I'm not normally a fan of matchy-matchy names, but I love these! I particularly like Miles, and I really dig Aquinas (are you Catholic? Or just like the name?).

I need some of your creative juices, because I'm 30 weeks and my husband and I STILL can't decide on names for our boys!

  • Very cute!  Although I am biased liking Miles. Would you just use Max, or a full name like Maxwell with Max for short?
  • Max & Miles... LOVE it!!

  • Nice choices. And I love Max as a standalone name.

  • While I love the names, Miles is starting to become rather common over the last couple of years and I prefer names that are a bit less common. But they're not my kids, so, well done! :)

  • I love them!  We're naming our boy Miles and Max was a strong contender there for a while. You have good taste!  :)

  • Generally I am not a fan of the same initials but those sound cute together.  I especially love Miles.

  • I think they are both really cute. One thing to consider with the same initials though, they may have sequential social security numbers and will be at the same addresses for a lot of their lives so basically their credit reports might have problems getting mixed up and if one has bad credit it can really screw the other. I only say that because my friend has twin siblings with the same initials and sequential social security numbers and is having issues getting a loan because his brother has bad credit. Obviously down the road but having dealt with mixed up credit with my husband and his dad (hubby is a junior) they may thank you later on for giving them different initials. Just something you might not have realized. Cute names though!
  • Their socials will be nothing alike. My mom works there and last year I Bellevue that they switch from having certain start number for certain states to it is all just auto generated.  They also try to keep twin numbers pretty far apart.

Nice names. My twins have matching initials.

  • Love the names. I have a Max and Molly with the same middle initial,  and the names Miles and Lucy are on my list for these babies. My BFF named her daughter Claire so it couldn't be a contender. Love your naming style.

So that's why! My friend had twins in December 2010 and her twins' SSNs were 1 number apart. I had twins in November 2011 and their numbers are totally different. I had read that the first two sets of numbers were based on location and group (or something like that) so I had no idea why my boys' SSNs were so different.

  • I LOVE the names Miles! I think they're good names and not annoyingly "twinny".

This is my siggy. Love it.
