Does anyone have a Kolcraft Contour?

I have a friend selling stuff at a yard sale this weekend and she is offering baby items to me first. She has a Kolcraft Contour stroller. Is this a good stroller? What is a decent price for a used one?

Thanks!

  • I've seen it for $100 at local garage sales.

  • I have one.  Things I love about it:

both seats can go face out or towards you.  My girls like to face eachother.

The seat fold flat so I was able to use it without the car seat when they were infants.  I just got those cushy inserts.

    Things I could live without:

Its pretty heavy to get in and out of the car

You have to remove at least one seat to fold it and put in the car.

I have a BJCM but I just "had" to have the Kolcraft, too.  I've only used it a couple of times because of the above - heavy to load and it's a pain to have to remove the seats to fold up.

  • I loved it for the 1st year or so.  My DDs were small so I used it mostly as a DSNG.  The storage basket is great...nice and big.  I only used the seats for about 2 months.  I was able to fold it w/both seats still attached but it did NOT fold as flat/compact.  I now have a Baby Jogger City Mini which I love!  I sold my Kolcraft on Craigslist for $120.  HTH

  • I have it as a shopping stroller and like it,,,same as above a bit heavy ad doesn't fold flat unless you take a seat off but it is nice to be able to configure the seats in so many ways...can use as a DSNG if you get an extra infant seat attachment (comes with one usually) and it has a great basket and parent console....if you could get it for $100 or less I would say take it!
  • Forgot to add...you will want another stroller if you are doing any amount of outdoor walking...it doesn't do great on uneven terrain...we have the BOB revolution for outdoors and love it :)

  • I have it. I've used it for walks around the neighborhood because I like that I can adjust which way the seats face, but I've never used it for errands... it's too much of a hassle. I use my BJCM for errands.
