Questions for all of you!
1. When do you plan on moving your baby to the convertible seat? If you have already, what age did you do it?
2. What convertible seat are you buying and why?
Thanks! I'm trying to figure out when to move her to the bigger seat, and I'm debating between 3 different models right now. It would be great to hear what others chose!
Re: Convertible Car Seats
1. When do you plan on moving your baby to the convertible seat? If you have already, what age did you do it? We moved him right around 6 1/2 months. He was too heavy to keep carrying in the infant one.
2. What convertible seat are you buying and why? We have the Evenflow Triump one. I did a lot of research and found really nothing but great things about it and the safety was a great plus! I like that it goes to 65 lbs.
We haven't moved our LO yet but that is the one that we bought too. It is the highest rated on Consumer Reports for safety.
1) We moved him over a couple weeks ago. He hadn't actually outgrown the infant carrier yet but it was starting to look pretty cramped, and we were getting tired of hauling it around.
2) We have a Recaro ProRide. I could say that we bought it due to its excellent safety ratings but really my husband wanted it because Recaro also makes seats for racecars. It is very safe though.

1.) they are already in them. They moved at about 7 months.
2.) Graco MyRide 65s
Hmm, I know I moved her to the convertable one at 5mos because she had supassed the weight on her infant carrier (she's a big girl lol!)
We went with the Graco My ride 65. I love it and so does my DD she can see out the windows better.
1. When do you plan on moving your baby to the convertible seat? If you have already, what age did you do it? We moved him into a convertible right about 6 months.
2. What convertible seat are you buying and why? We have a Britax Marathon in both of our vehicles. Originally we were just going to get one and get a cheaper one for DH's truck but we liked it so much & it's so easy to adjust that we went ahead and got two. DS still doesn't love being in the carseat but he doesn't fuss nearly as much as he did in his infant seat!
We moved her a few weeks ago ( she was within 1in and 1lb of the limits and looking very cramped)
We have the Britax Marathon. It fits well in our small car.

We moved him to a convertible in my mom's car (she takes care of him) about a month ago. He is really too heavy to be carried around in the infant seat, so she we figured we'd just get the seat now. We just bought one for my car too, but we haven't switched in my car yet because it's a 2 dr and at least now I can swing his seat into the back even if he is heavy. I guess I'll have to start climbing into the back with him soon, though. He's much more comfortable in the convertible now, and has almost outgrown it height wise.
We ended up getting the Britax Boulevard CS 70. I was losing my mind comparing seats, and this one has good reviews and also is supposed to fit decently in small cars.
are we married to the same person?? Same reason here too! We have 2 of them and I do love it! He also looks so comfy in it.
1. DD uses a convertible carseat in my car and still uses her infant seat in DH's truck. She primarily rides in my car. We switched her over between 3-4 months old.
2. We went with the Graco Smart Seat. We love it and so does DD. It's roomy for her, has lots of padding and can grow with her until 100 pounds. We plan to buy a second one for DH's truck. It also has steel reinforcements in the frame of the seat. It's REALLY heavy!
1. We switched over at about 6 1/2 mos because DS was just getting to heavy to haul in the infant seat.
2. We got a First Years Tru Fit seat for my car (primary) and a Cosco Scenera for DH's truck and Grandparent's car. So far we're happy with them.

Just FYI. If you really want a Britax, Albee Baby is having a sale. The Marathon 70 is $199-$217. I just ordered mine. I was picky about the color so I paid $217, no tax, and free shipping
