3rd Trimester

anyone else?

esp the 37+ weekers...

The closer I get to my due date, the less real it seems that I am having a baby. I am not freaking out saying "get this baby out" or anything yet, mostly b/c I find it hard to believe I am really about to have a baby. That, and the closer I get, the more nervous I am about everything, especially labor.

Everyone else seems to just be ready. Please tell me I am not the only one who feels this way.

Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months. Lilypie First Birthday tickers

  • I still have trouble believing that I am having a baby. All the kicks, movement, u/s...still haven't convinced me.

  • I'm not 37 weeks yet, but I go back and forth on this. It switches from disbelief to "holy crap, I am actually going to do this!". I think i run the gamut of emotions on a daily basis!
  • I feel the same way.  I am really just not ready for her to be here yet.  At this point, I am not even freaking out about labor.  I know by this point most people are "done with being pregnant" but I just don't feel it yet...

  • I definitely have all different kinds of emotions about it on a daily basis....one minute I can't wait for him to be here....the next I am in disbelief about the whole situation and kind of freaking out that things in our lives will never be same....which then make me feel selfish! I think I need therapy right about now...plus I'm a total grouch and I hate that!
  • I've been "wishing her out" for about two weeks because of the carpal tunnel.  Pretty much everytime I have that thought though, I think that I'll regret saying that when I have an inconsolable crying baby on my (hopefully carpal tunnel free) hands.  I'm trying so hard to soak up the last few days or weeks (God help me) child free.
