SO I was just giving DS his lunch of a banana and whole wheat toast with almond butter and my H walks by and goes: "Ah, what a healthy lunch!" in kind of a sarcastic tone. So I asked if he was being serious and he said not really.
Am I missing something? Is that really an unhealthy lunch? I asked DH what he considers healthy and he said an egg and veggies. He then back tracked and said what I was giving wasn't "that bad, just a lot of bread and sugar." DS loves toast and bananas, but I don't give them to him all the time and I try to give him lots of veggies and healthy protein too.
Anyway, this just struck a nerve because I spend a lot of time thinking about what DS eats and how to give him the best start with his solids. Also we're raising him partially vegetarian and DH is a meat lover so his diet is already kind of a sore area between us (I'm vegetarian).

Haha thanks for the validation.
I ended up telling him that if doesn't like what I feed DS he can go ahead and make his meals too. He ended up apologizing and saying he said it without thinking and he's in a bad mood because of problems at work, etc.
