sleeping in room with babies

How long did u/will u sleep in the same room as the babies? I've been sleeping in the nursery since they came home (they're 6 weeks). I'd love to go back to my own bed, but the girls are so restless and wake up throughout the night. I probably check on them too often being in there. I'm wondering how long anyone else did this? Thanks!

    I was too tired to sleep in their room at night but H did it for about a week I'd say.  Even now, I don't sleep well when they are in the same room.  I hear every sigh and movement.  Go ahead and go back to your room and use the monitor.

    Our girls are almost 9 weeks and we still sleep in the same room as they do. We did about 2 weeks in their nursery and I was just up way too often. So I take one baby and she sleeps in my room, and DH takes the other and they sleep in the guest room. The girls love sleeping in their bouncers or boppys (though we make sure to put a blanket in the hole so they can't suffocate by slouching). We will continue to do it this way until they can go longer than 3-4 hours between feedings.

    The four of us slept downstairs in the LR where we had the PNP until the girls were 3w. We went to NH to vist MIL when they were 3w and when we came home at we slept one more week downstairs. At 5w, they went into a crib (shared a crib and even slept in boppy pillows Surprise). You being in there may make them restless, we make noise too when we sleep, plus if you're constantly checking on them, it's hard to settle in. They eventually slept in their swings, around 11w. That was the first time they STTN. We loved those swings <3

    We have been on separate rooms from day 1. The girls seem to sleep well by themselves, so that's what we did. So far so good...

    we just started putting the girls in the nursery last week. we slept in the same room with them for about 4 weeks.

    Mine were in the NICU for the first 4 weeks,

    Then slept in our room in an Arms Reach Co sleeper  bed for the next 3 months. DD was hooked up to an oxygen monitor so she had to be near me so I could give her Oxygen when she desated. So they didn't actually go in their own cribs until 4 mo old!

    Wow did I sleep better from then on!

    The twins are still in our room, at 6 months.  They've been sttn since 3 months old, but I only have a 2 bedroom house and my 3 year old has TERRIBLE sleeping habits.  Since I get up at 5:45 to feed them anyway, I figure its easier to keep them in with me.  Not sure when I'll move them - probably soon.

    We have an Arm's Reach Original Co-sleeper. My current plan is to have them sleep in it, in our room, for the first 3-4 months and then move them into a shared crib in the nursery. Then I'm figuring around 5 or 6 months I'll put them in separate cribs.
