Hemmorhoids... How do you know if you have em?

Short of trying to bend over in front of a mirror and looking (which would be a feat!) how do you know if you have them?

    You could use a hand mirror or just feel the area. If there is anything sticking out, you have them.

    If it hurts/bleeds when you have a bowel movement. It also tends to get itchy down there when you have roids. Look/feel for a pea sized bump around the rim. I am SO not looking forwars to this again after birth..ugh.

    Lord, you just know if/when you have them. I got 2 external ones 2 weeks ago in the matter of a day. It.was.awful. They're terrible. Maybe TMI, but I have to wipe my rear for like 2 minutes every time I have a BM in order to get everything nice and clean. Plus I have to use moist wipes. Grrr.... not a good time.

    Oh you know!!  You will feel little lumps when y ou wipe, and having a BM will hurt like hellll!  Pea sized is about right for me, unless they are swollen, then it's more like small grapes!  Baby wipes will be your best friend for wiping!

    Yeah, there should be no doubt if you have one.  If it's internal, you'll have bleeding after #2 but that's about it.  If it's external, it will hurt and you can feel a lump.  If it's external and thrombosed, you will cry hysterically and hope some drug works a miracle on them.
