I had my first Beta today...and it was 1401.  Considering my previous 2 pregnancies (that ended in losses) started at 18 and 26, you can imagine my shock.

I'm excited but sooo soo nervous.  Does the nervous part ever wear off?

My doc (who did the IVF transfer) called me to tell me how excited she was.  I am so happy I have a great doc that cares about her patients, and I'm so glad I switched RE's!

They have me back on Monday for Beta #2.  Please send T+P that this is our sticky baby!!! I turn 41 next week! 

Me-42 DH-43 TTC #1 since 3/11
HSG 7/11 showed possible blockage
8/11 BFP, then early m/c  (Natural)
9/11 blood tests reveal Factor V Leiden (heterozygous)
11/11 Hysteroscopy revealed uterine septum, which was repaired
12/11 1st round of Clomid (100mg)=BFN
1/12 2nd round of Clomid (100mg)=BFN 
2/12 Repeat HSG=All clear 
2/12 IUI with injectables #1=BFN 
3/12 natural cycle=BFN 
4/12 IUI with injectables #2=C/P 
7/12 IVF #1=30ER, 9F, 3T, 1 Frostie 7/29=BFP! 
8/27/12 No Heartbeat. Waiting to M/C 
9/13/12 D+C
12/12 Operative Hysteroscopy 
1/31/12  IVF#2 ...BFP 2/6 m/c 2/12 methotrexate due to presumed ectopic
July '13 IVF #3: 13R, 10M, 8F=BFP
1st Beta=549  2nd Beta 594 3rd Beta 422. M/C #5
IVF#4 in November=BFP…TWINS!!!!!

    Congratulations! I'm so glad the doctor choice worked out for the best :) 

    (my second beta is Monday too!) 

    My DH is calming down, but I am still pretty nervous after trying for so long...I think it'll wear off after 12 weeks.

    Wow! Congratulations - 400 is a great number. I started off around 85. Good luck at your second beta and enjoy!!!

    me (36): Hypothyroid (on Levothroid), low vit. d, borderline/high fsh (day 3: between 7-10) (day 10: 13 during CCCT), AFC: 14
    dh (31): awesome (minus one sample with agglutination)
    Diagnosis:possible DOR and/or unexplained + elevated NK cells + MTHFR (C677T - one copy)

    MAY 2011 - FEB 2012 - 3 injectable IUI's with numerous cancellations due to high TSH levels

    Healthy baby boy and girl born in February, 2013 at 38 weeks and 2 days!

    I don't know anything about betas but the positive replies tell me your post is good news - so, congrats! and welcome! and no, the nervous part does not ever wear off. not for me, anyhow - you think you're in the clear, and then something crazy happens, whether to you or someone else, and you realize that you're going to be a nervous wreck for the rest of your child's life.

    WOOHOO!  Congrats!!

    I think the nervous feeling sticks around for a while....like until you have the baby.  THEN you get to worry about a bunch of other fun stuff!
