Boba 3G

You guys are the wearing experts, so i thought i would ask for your opinions! I had the 2G with DS#1, got when he was 10 months and loved it. I got the 3G for DS#2 so I could use it right off the bat because i never could quite get the hang of my ring sling. My little guy came early so he is weighing in at 6 pounds 9 ounces as of yesterday. The 3G says to use at 7 pounds. Do you think he is close enough or should I wait til he closes the gap on those last ounces? I cant wait to be able to wear him in it, but of course do not want to cause him harm. What would you do? Would you wait til 7 even or go for it now? Thank you!

    I can't help with the question, but I'm curious to know if you like the boba carriers. I have the wrap, which I love, and an ergo that I'm not nuts about. I've been debating about getting the 3G because it seems less bulky which is my main complaint with the ergo. Do you like it? Also, does that shoulder strap support a diaper bag or just a small purse?

    to be honest I havent had a chance to try it out yet! I loved the 2G with my first son, but it was a different carrier ( bulkier and no strap) so I cant answer your questions exactly except to say that i would recommend the 2G to anyone and only switched so i could start using it from birth with this guy, but i am confident I will love this one too!
