Please recommend twin parenting books that you found helpful. My boys who started crawling 2 weeks ago are constantly fighting over toys.
Mind you they have 2 of almost everything. I know that Baby B sees Baby A having fun with a toy and then he will go and try to pluck it away from Baby A and vice versa. I am always telling them, "No, don't take that from your brother. He is playing with it and you are already playing with another toy."
If you can recommend any twin parenting books that would be great! There are so many, but I don't know which ones are actually helpful.
Thanks In Advance
Re: Twin Parenting Books? 7 MO Boys Fighting Over Toys!!!
It's not twin specific but, we use Love and Logic Magic. It's great.
As far as not sharing. The kiddo who originally had it, gets it. If they fight over it it gets taken away and put into my closet for a time out.
This.
Although we don't have twins yet, our boys are 22 months apart and fight over toys. I agree with the above.
I do this too. Unfortunately, it gets worse. One of my boys is now 'taunting' his brother with the desired toy.
I love Love and Logic- it's the one I recommend to all the parents of my students at school.
I've read several books on raising twins and liked "Raising Twins" by Shelly Vaziri Flais the best. It's very practical and realistic, and I love that it's written by a mother of twins who is also a pediatrician. The book is divided up by age spans so I am now reading the "older infant" chapter and it's been really helpful. Most of the other ones I've read are basically just collections of anecdotes, which are great if you want a laugh or something but not really helpful!
