DAN Doctor experiences.

Hello All,

My son was diagnosed with autism at 14 months and we started seeing a DAN at 17 months. We have had 2 appointments so far and I am conflicted on if this is the right path for my child. Has anyone had any positive of negative experiences with the DAN doctors?

    I can tell you after kiddo number 1 was diagnosed I put in a few calls to places for support groups.  DAN! was mentioned and I looked into it.  I was really turned off by some of the ideas, moreso "we can cure your kid if you pay XX for this alternative therapy"  We recently switched developmental pediatricians and she is into supplements and dietary interventions.  I personally have tried GFCF with my kids and it didn't work well.  I haven't tried supplements beyond fish oil.  I couldn't get past the smell but my 4 year old loved them.
