officially. over. this.
no. it is not twins. it is one baby girl who is actually pretty damn small.
no. they did not miss the second baby in the ultrasound. i promise.
not one, not two, but FIVE people asked me that today while i was running my errands.
one lady even asked to touch my belly to make sure, because "i have a touch sense about twins! i can tell if it's twins just by rubbing, and i have such a sense about you."
i mean...what!?

If you for some reason really deliver twins it would be hilarious.
My aunt and uncle had identical twin girls...they had 3 u/s and never saw the 2nd baby. She was directly behind her sister and they had the same heartbeat. This was 14 years ago. Needless to say, they were extremely shocked.

When I did my 1-hour glucose test last month, the lady who drew my blood asked if it was twins. When I told her no, she gave me this blank look and was like, "Wow. You're really big." I'd only gained 16 pounds and was measuring a little small at that point, TYVM. I was a little annoyed. People have no filter sometimes.
And that whole twin sense thing the lady said to you...definitely creepy.
You're not alone, I've been being asked since June if was about to pop, due any day, etc. Have also had the twins comments.

Thankfully I haven't gotten any twins comments this time around, but I did last time. It was really annoying. And rude.
ETA: WTF on the six sense belly rubbing twins comment. That lady is totes crazy.
This is what I get too.
When people ask if I am having twins, I say, no there is only one in there... they say, are you sure? And I say, well if I am wrong, I'll drop one off at your house then!
That usually shuts them up ;-)
I told DH the next women who makes a your about to pop when are you due comment or a wow you huge when are you due comment I am going to say "September 5, when are you due?" See how they feel.
haha - don't feel bad Shopper - a friend of mine had twins and she was always smaller than I was and I only had ONE in there. People carry different.
I was asked all the time with DS if I was having twins and I've gotten it a few times with this LO. I just respond back with "Nope, I just make big babies"
