I'd really like to have our next baby in the spring/begining of summer so May/June, just so I can take the kids outside (since it snows until the end of April.) I doubt we will start trying this year, so we will probably try the August/Sept after his birthday.
My mom waited 3 years between her first two, then had me 2 years later after my middle sister. She said "It didn't really matter the year difference, just do 2.

We are going to start when we feel DS can use the bathroom without a diaper. I am in no rush right now. I work FT and so does DH and right now we are enjoying DS and his baby months. I guess you can say I do not want 2u2.
You're going to have people on both sides of the spectrum, some that think farther apart is better and some that think closer together is better. We started trying for #2 when #1 was 10 months old. I got pregant after a few months but it ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. Had that not occured they would have been 21 months apart. We got pregnant again about 9 months later and our sons are just about 2.5 years apart. I'm happy with the separation we ended up having because DS #1 was that much older that he understood what what going on and is much more independent and helpful. We're still undecided on if we'll have #3, but if we do it will be father apart than 1 and 2 are.
DH and I plan on TTC for #2 in September of this year with a Due Date of June or later. That will put DS at the youngest 2years 3months. I think that is a good age difference.
Totally depends on what you want as a family. Everyone is different and some people like kids spaced out, some like them close in age.
We're in the latter group. I want my kids to be two years apart. I also loved being pregnant through the cold months and giving birth right before spring. We're going to start TTC in June with hopes of having our second in the March-June window of 2013, when DD is just over two.
DD1 was 17 months old when I got pregnant with DD2. They are ALMOST 2 years and 2 months apart, and it has been a great age difference. My girls play so well together and I really haven't dealt with too much jealousy.
Allie ~ 01/26/09 ~ 7 lbs, 9 oz ~ 20.75 in.
& Amelia ~ 03/16/11 ~ 8 lbs, 1 oz ~ 21 in.
Oh to actually be able to plan the timing of the birth of kids! Not an option for me. Can't have kids as far as I know. Took us 5 years to get #1 and that was through adoption. I would love a second, and I'm feeling ready to consider it, but we aren't financially ready to adopt again, and I'm not willing to go back thru IF treatments. They sucked. So we'll see... we might be one and done, as he's such a great baby I doubt we'll get so lucky again
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
Our 2 are 2.5 years apart and I think it's perfect. DD was almost potty trained when DS was born and was completely trained right after he was born when I was home with them both. They're close enough to be friends but not so close to drive me crazy.
DH and I are thinking of trying this fall DS will be 18 months at that point and he would be over 2. I am hoping to have a 2 year seperation at least if not 2.5. I know you cannot entirely plan something like that. But I am hoping for a baby after June or so because not too many people in our familh has a summer birthday. LOL I know that sounds so silly.
Our 2 are 21months apart. We plan on TTC this month, we would have started sooner but didn't want to have December baby(Holidays are crazy enough without birthdays) so we held off a little longer.
I was originally waiting until DS turned 2 to start. Lately i have baby fever and want to be pregnant now. I am going to wait until late summer early fall to start trying. Then DS will be 2 when the new baby comes.
We started in our 30's, and we want three, so we didn't feel like we could wait very long. So #2's on it's way, and Nathaniel will be 21 months old when his brosis arrives.
I'm torn between feeling guilty that I'm so sick again that I'm not giving 100% to Nat, and feeling happy that they'll be close and hopefully be the best of friends.
Just started trying for #2 this month! Once #1 hit one year I was just... ready. It was weird, not at all ready until then and then something switched. We waited a couple months for DH to get on board, and now we're officially in TTC mode. Testing next week, hoping for good things!
We are ready for Baby #2 ... we got pregnant in June, but unfortunately had a miscarriage this week... DH is heading off back to sea tomorrow, so I will go visit in August and try again then!
We just found out we are pregnant with baby number 2....my due date is April 4th, 2013 so the kids will be about 25 month apart. I think this is a great age difference since they will hopefully be close. I am also looking forward to having another spring baby!
