So, I met with an old friend from school. We were BFFs for 10+years, but due to her unpredictable behavior and addictive personality, I have distanced myself from her over the past few years.
She knows we are having a girl, and asked if we have a name. I told her, yes, we do... Nora. She sat there wide eyed and speechless for a minute, and and then freaked out on me! "WTH?!?! Don't you think you should pick something a little more original instead of copying me?" Apparently, because her son is named NOAH, this makes Nora off limits.
She is being ridiculous, right?

LOL, thanks, I was starting to think maybe I was wrong because of how insulted she acted. I guess they DO sound similar, but that NEVER occured to me. I thought she misheard me at first and thought I was using Noah for a girl, but no...she heard me correctly.
Funny thing is, when I was pg with DS (before we knew the sex), she kept trying to convince us to go with Natalie (one of our picks) because her older DS is Nathaniel, and it would be soooooo cute!
She cray-cray.

I would have responded, "WTH?!?! Don't you think you should pick something a little more original than copying the Bible (best selling book in the world)?"
Idk, it gets under my skin when people think that they have a "right" to a name.
Yes, this. LOL
This.

Sorry. Didn't you know,
A) all names beginning with N are off limits
C) all four-letter names are off limits.
Keep trying, I'm sure you'll find a lovely name for your little girl that still respects your friend.

Ummmm...Yes! Ridiculous and absolutely rude!
She's being ridiculous.
My oldest is Theo. Our very best friends named their second son Leo. I didn't say boo. We see them multiple times a week. It's totally confusing, and slightly annoying, but it's NOT name stealing.
