on the October 2012 board. This is getting scary...I don't remember us having anyone deliver this early, did we? These babies were born at 28 and 30 weeks.
It's also a huge reality check that this can literally happen at any time and I am not ready, physically, emotionally, or household-ally.
Re: We've had two births already...
The 28 weeker is doing really well...he is breathing well on his own with only the help of a machine that just makes sure he keeps doing it. He is really small, but seems to be hanging in there. The mom had a placenta problem that almost killed both her and the baby, so she really delivered in the nick of time. So scary, but she seemed to be so brave during it all!
The 30 weeker is coming today, so no word yet...
Oh wow, I hope the babies do ok!
We've had a handful on my board too & yeah, it's a reality check at how soon these babies will be here. I was just reminding MH last night of all the stuff we need to buy & get done in the less than 2 months that we have left, and that DS came right at 40 wks, so this one might come even earlier. So really we may have less time than we think! Scary.
Holy moly! Those babies are early! I hope they're doing okay!
C was the earliest of the active type posters that stuck around, but there was one woman in our group that delivered < 30 weeks, but she disappeared after that.
But yeah, its a huge wake up call. I'm sure you're going to be fine, but pack that hospital bag early! ;-)

Ahhh! I can't believe you are as far along as you are!
Hang in there, mama! You are going to do SO great! I can't wait to see your two little guys together!
Some of us were originally January moms (like me) but none THAT early that I remember. Yikes. One of the Dec mom's water broke at, like, 24 weeks but she managed to carry almost to term on hospital bedrest. That was scary.
After a late-term preemie this is my big fear for this new one. I want a healthy full term baby this time!
How scary!
I hope those babies are OK.
