Help please! (Pregnancy test-related)

First off, as many of you know, we are soooo not trying to have another LO right now. We'd love another baby if we had one of course, we are just really not ready right now, if at all.
I stopped BFing in March, have been on the minipill since C was born, and am really pretty good about taking it. My periods used to be right on 29 day cycles prior to C but have been all over the place since I got my first period this past January. For a while, they were 6 weeks apart and then started 3 to 3.5 weeks apart since. Most recently, cycles have been about 24-25 days long. So, my last period was July 3rd but AF still hasn't shown up yet. I took a pregnancy test this morning and while DH says it is absolutely a "no", I think I must be talking myself in to seeing a faint line. It was a CVS-brand FR so if I was really pregnant I would definitely be able to see the line and not have to wonder, right? Right....?

Well, I don't know how to say this, but when I was pregnant with A, the first line I got was a line only I could see. My H said I was crazy, but I saw it. It was definitely the faintest of faint lines. When I took it again the next day, it turned into a very light but more distinct line. Could you almost see it materializing, then dematerializing before your eyes? That's how it was for me...
BUT, that's not to say you are pregnant! What I would do is go get a FR brand name test or digi, and take it tomorrow. That should give you a more clear result. Well, I would take it tonight after holding in my pee all day, but that's me, haha.

Ummm... Well, I've not been sure with either kid now. The first line was so faint with both that it almost wasn't visible at all. I would buy a ditigal pack of two and test again tomorrow first thing in the morning. The digital is nice because it has words instead of lines. I "made sure" with both pregnancies with digitals after those faint confusing lines. Fingers crossed for no line for you, but if so, you've got lots of support here!
Were you still on the mini pill after you stopped BFing? I think that isn't effective.
And with P, I got super light + when I tested early & DH couldn't see it. Test again in a few days to be sure with a FRER.
I looked at the test later (long after the 10 minute window) and in the exact place I "thought" might be a line, I could then see a definitive evap line. So, I'm thinking that must be what I saw. It was very thin and only on the left side. With C, I was the only one that could see the line too but it was about 6 days before my period. By this point with C, it was very dark. The only other time this happened was with my m/c. :-(
Either way, thank you ladies! Sofa, to answer your question, I was and still am on the mini pill but was for several years before C too b/c I can't take estrogen. I think it is just prescribed to BFing moms because it doesn't interfere as much with milk production. It was a bonus for me since I was already used to using it. Thanks again!

It was, do you think it makes a difference? I'll go take a pic, but the test is about 2.5 hours old now.

Ahh! Very good to know, thanks! The pic is below. The left line was definitely not there at 10 minutes but was at 30 minutes so that's why I'm thinking it is an evap. It is also in the same area I thought I could see a line but DH couldn't. It was only on that far left side and I had to hold it just right to see it.

Thanks for the info! I'll test again tomorrow if nothing, but will definitely avoid the blue tests in the future. I really had no idea and thought I was all up on pregnancy tests, ha ha, guess not! I googled blue dye tests and apparently loads of people get the really thin line on the left, just like me.
And I'll be sure to wear my white pants too, lol!

What Sofa said about the mini pill...yeah...true. One of my closest friends has a "but I was on the mini pill while breastfeeding baby.". She was like me and didnt get her first cycle until 16 months or so pp. So, once she started up again she was fertile even though she was still bf'ing a little. When she told her doctor that she was just taking the mini pill and still bfing, her doctor laughed at her and told her she must really want to get pregnant. Poor thing did not and truly thought she was covered. Of course she loves baby #2!
Anyway, this is just anecdotal but your might want to look into it. Our bodies can be so much different after pregnancy.
Well, they say a line is a line...CVS brand or not. I would try tomorrow morning with a digital. Good luck - EEK!
ETA: Whoops, just saw that it was blue dye. I wouldn't try it, but would still test tomorrow.
