Any recommendations for good children's music? I read a post on here that had some recs by mainstream artists but were geared towards children but I can't find it.

The Verve Pipe has a few children's albums which are a lot of fun. We also love the Johnny Cash Children's Album, Elizabeth Mitchell and Baby Loves Disco.
DS went bananas for Raffi when we YouTubed him! I'm just waiting for Christmas to get him the Raffi DVDs and CDs. He also loves his Kidsongs DVDs and Sing Yourself Silly by Sesame Street.

Yeah, we made the mistake of showing him Raffi on YouTube. Now every time he sees a computer he says "Raffi? Baby Boo" for Baby Beluga. That is his absolute favourite song, he will drop whatever he is doing if he hears anybody singing it and come running.
If you have access to pandora, they have a couple of great preset stations under their genre section like "toddler radio" and "children's indie radio". I play music on my phone for him all the time with it. Toddler radio seems to have more disney/pixar type songs and the children's indie is more laurie berkner band and the like. Even if you don't use it a lot, it's good for getting some idea as to what your LO will like and going from there!

Re: children's music
Some of my DS's favorite music is old dance songs (ie Jackson Five's ABC, Miami Sound Machine's Conga, and Cherry Popping Daddies' Jump In The Line).

Oh- and we have "100 Singalong Songs for Kids" and DS LOVES it. It's like magic in the car. It mixes in Christian kids' songs, fyi.
