Expecting to much?

I have been working with DS on Potty Training now since I found out I was expecting so we are zeroing in on 7 months almost and he hasn't grasped it yet.


He has his days where he asks for underwear and will use the potty when instructed too. But wont ask and when he is to into playing he flat out just wont go in the potty.

There are also days where he will straight out tell you "NO I don't wanna wear underwear" and if I say ok well lets change your diaper and try to put on underwear he'll tell me "NO I want a diapers".

I just don't get it. I cant fathom that he isn't ready if he is so responsive to using it on days that he "feels" like it . Could he just be being stubborn? Should I give up altogether and try again in a few months?

    He may just not be ready or you need to take a break for a bit.  But from what I've been reading is one you go undies you don't go back to diapers (over night being an exception).
