One of those embarrassing posts. Oh joy. :
I know many (most) of us complained about itchy/sweaty crotch, hemorrhoids, and increased shaving irritation while we were pregnant. Heck, even Jessica Simpson admitted to having "swamp a$$."
But how many of you still aren't quite right down there? I'm still very sensitive, and not in a fun sexy way. Shaving is a nightmare. I end up with razor burn and ingrown hairs if I do shave, and I suffer the horror of itchy regrowth if I don't shave.
Last year I was a sweaty mess down there, but now my skin is always very dry in that area, almost like eczema. Even my butt crack. Lotions and creams don't help.
And I've had three rather painful Bartholin's gland cysts since I had my LO.
I'm still washing and grooming the way I always have, and I use only products for sensitive skin, the same ones I've used since before pregnancy.
I got Paragard in December and never went back on hormonal birth control, so I suppose I can blame hormones. It almost seems silly to call my GYN and complain about generalized weirdness.
Anyone else still have issues but have been too embarrassed to talk about them?
Re: Crotch issues...still? TMI of course.
I would definitely go in and see your ob/gyn. I was embarrassed because I am so incredibly dry down there and having sex was no fun at all. I went to the dr and found out that's just what happens PP and from being on birth control. Dr also gave me some cream. I'm still kicking myself for waiting so long to talk to the dr.
Oh, I would have been on the phone with my Dr ages ago. Suck it up and call. In the long wrong you'll be happy you did and way more comfortable.
I know I had some trouble back in the day when I started a desk job and wearing nylons daily. The solution was simple... to much heat and not enough air. I know go to bed comando and my crotch is happy and so is DH
Call you Dr!

For the shaving part, try Tend Skin. It is the BEST for at least the razor burn issue you are having. You can find it online or at Ulta. I use that plus bikini zone (shaving section @target). You won't have bikini razor burn with that combo.
For your other issues, I agree with PPs. See your doc and ask for help.
