Hi all,
This may be a question asked earlier, but everytime I try to search it always says there are no posts associated with my search word, which i know is is not true! maybe it's my browser?
anyway, the question is, has anyone ever put both babies in one co-sleeper or do most people get two, one for each side and one for each baby? trying to gauge how much space they will take up and what to do for the in room situation immediately after birth.
thanks!
Re: arm's reach co-sleeper

I should have posed this question 3 months ago
My twins are 12 weeks now, and we purchased the original arm's reach co-sleeper for them as arm's reach recommended it for 2 babies.
In the very beginning it worked fine, as both babies snuggled up against each other and slept without disturbing one another. But we have now had to separate them - my son likes to sprawl out on his back when he sleeps, and he has gotten quite big now so we've found that having 2 in the co-sleeper just wasn't working for them. It really did become cramped. If I had 2 sleepers like my daughter (snuggled in a little ball on her side every night) then it wouldn't be a problem. But after about week 7 if one fidgeted or woke up, the other did as well.
Now we are looking back wishing we got 2 mini-co-sleepers for each side of the bed. I've also seen people recommend the rock-n-plays for sleep, though they don't give you the co-sleeping aspect of the arm's reach.
Good luck!

And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
We bought two full size cribs, took the front side off one of them and pushed it up to our bed so it functions like an arms-length co-sleeper (but slightly bigger I think?). Our twins are pretty big for their age, almost 4 months old, but they sleep well there together and don't wake each other up.
I think the lesson from everyone's answers here is that you won't really be able to predict what will work for your babies, so just pick a way to go and then adjust as you go along.
thanks so much for the search info, i thought i was just me and was so confused why it wouldn't work.
I agree huntertwin, it's good to know that the original can hold two, but as it seems is probably mostly true - you don't know until the babies are here
thanks everyone for the info, it's really helpful to just know anyway.
thanks!
