Pneumonia!

I've only posted on here a few times (need to get better at that!) but just wanted to share whats been going on lately. I had a cold that just wouldn't go away...had to be on antibiotics for 2x, 17 days. Then, I got bronchitis that led to pneumonia. They put me on more antibiotics, steroids, and Robitussin. I'm better than I was, but still coughing like a maniac and I'm so sore all over. Counting down the days now!

P.S. On the up side, Lily is doing good and I have an ultrasound in 2 weeks! I'm almost done w/ her room and if I say so myself it looks fabulous!

    Ahhh I am sooo scared that this is going to be me!!!!  I have had a cold for 4-5 weeks now and been to the dr twice and was just told to rest and rink more water.   Well the last time i was there was 3 weeks ago and my cough is worse! it is a nice juicey painful cough, i go back to the dr tomorrow so hopefully they finally do something about it because it is totally unbearable.   Hope your recovery goes well and I dont end up in the same boat.

    I've got a nasty sinus infection and am hoping it doesn't turn into anything.

    This happened to me about a month and a half ago, it started as a sinus cold but I waited too long to go to my md, hoping it would go away. Well i finally went in and they gave me a round of amox, which didnt work but my family md refused to give me anything else because of my pregnancy. They completely ignored my symptoms and told me try to "holistic measures." Finally my OB (who was furious with my family md) gave me stronger antibiotics and a rx cough medicine because at this point I had not slept in 4 days and i was having the wrost side/rib pain from coughing. Needless to say it's a month and a half later and I still have a cough, my ob saying it's non producutive and she fears she will over medicate me if she gives me anything else. Fun times
