Hey guys!
The winner is "Past & Present!"
You can see how I did this in my siggy (which I will continue to edit throughout the day).
For those that need a mini-tutorial, here's the gist of what I did.
Step 1: Open Microsoft Publisher and select the horizontal document template.
Step 2: Insert picture from file, obviously you'll need to do this twice for two pictures. You might need to edit your pictures to be the same size so they're even in your template and one isn't bigger than the other.
Step 3: Draw some text boxes and put in the times (you can see I did 11/2011 and 8/2012 in the corners of mine). I also put the siggy challenge in it so people will know.
Step 4: Save the document as a jpg and upload to tinypic. I did the website/email option. The next size up is too big and won't show up right without having people scan over to see your whole siggy.
**Helpful tips: Make sure your font is big enough for people to read it! You can always go back and redo it, save it again, and upload it again if it isn't quite right. You can also do your siggy in MS Paint if you don't have MS Publisher, but you can't edit the text boxes once they're typed and moved.
Let me know if you need any more help with this! I'm not a huge computer buff (the hubby does IT so I had a little bit of help). I had to tweak mine until it was how it is now, but I'm still not quite happy with it.
GL!
Re: ~*August Siggy*~
Thank you, Gracefulruby!! I have never been able to figure out how to do that until your tutorial!
Can you read it okay?
M&b, I can make it for you if you want? You can Pm me and I will send u my email and you can send me the pictures. Just a thought.
Yes! Looks great! I love that you have both kids in there. :-)
I am just now seeing this, sorry! What you did is fine, but you can also use MS Paint if you have that. That is how I did my summer drink siggy last month. DH told me to try MS Publisher this time and I liked that I could edit my text later and you can't do that with Paint.
Looks great, shabam!
I used power point to make mine. Not too hard to put together. Just make sure to save as JPEG.
