It's come to this... (silly)

Today I bought a few short (like skanky short) dresses to wear as shirts so that I actually have SOMETHING that covers my belly. How did I outgrow maternity shirts!? I'm still the same size everywhere except my belly so nothing fits my skinny little arms that actually fits my belly. I honestly found a shirt today that covered my belly but the arm holes dangled down to almost my bellybutton, totally classy. This pregnancy thing is no joke! I fully expect that if I make it much longer I will simply have no choice but to drape a sheet over myself and never leave the house. These babies will turn me into a shut-in. Good thing I like crossword puzzles and cats!

Thanks for listening to my rant. In all honesty I am so blessed and love my big "46 week" belly bump! The end is in sight! WAHOO!!

  • LOL, I am sure I will have the same problem. I am normally XS and can sometimes where kids clothes, so I am sure I will have a hard time covering my twin belly without looking like a fashion disaster.

  • I feel like I've outgrown all of my maternity stuff already!! I haven't really grown anywhere but my belly either! I went to JCPenny like 2 weeks ago and bought a couple of maternity tank tops. and the underneath of my belly already hangs out of them ( and all my other stuff)!! Not to classy at all.. :p I keep telling myself "it's all worth it!" The leg cramps, the heartburn, the not being able to breathe, the waking up every 2 seconds to pee, the not being able to roll over in bed withough struggling, etc.. It's all worth it. I get reminded every time I feel my little guys kicking and dancing in there. :)

  • I am struggling with the same exact problem!!!  I hate having to buy more maternity clothes, but the idea of buying short dresses is great and I just may have to try that one out because this twin belly is getting large and in charge!

  • It is hard to find things that fit when you are small everywhere else with a big belly! From about 36 weeks till I delivered at 39 I barely left the house because I had no clothes that fit...walked around in XXL t-shirts and under ware and put on a robe if someone was coming over!
